Bird Watching

Zoey and I went to the Tracy Aviary this Tuesday. We got in for just a dollar with my Seven Peaks Pass of all Passes. It's not a very big place; nothing compared to the zoo, but we spent 2 hours there. Zoey was so enthralled by all the birds. She would climb out of her stroller, stand by the fence, point, and yell at almost every bird. She really got a good look at every one. Well, the ones that she could find. I had a hard time pointing out some of the owls that were camouflaged with the trees.

She cried every time we would walk away from one exhibit to see the next. She was just so sad to leave every bird. I thought it was kinda funny.

I tried to get some pictures, but my hands were always too full, so none of them turned out. Anyway, We really had a blast! Zoey had worn herself out by the end and feel asleep in the car. I can't wait to go back.

June Updates

Hola, just in case you were wondering..

ZOEY Is doing great. Last month she learned to do a somersault (with a little push to get over her head because her legs aren't quite long enough). She used to say some things in sign language, but has lost interest in that lately. She doesn't really wave very much anyhow either. I guess that's just old news to her. She really loves trucks right now. She spends a good amount of the day standing at our patio door watching for them to drive by. She points and says "ck" or "duh". Even if she just hears one drive by, she always points toward a window or in the direction of the road to make sure we know that she didn't miss it.

TANNER has been really busy at work trying to move their servers to their own office. At least from what I understand. I wouldn't know, but apparently that is no small task. We would like to take a vacation sometime for much needed break.

I am challenging myself to drink 100 oz of water every day for a month. I've heard that water is good for you. Ha. Maybe I will turn into superwoman if do this. Who knows?!

I don't remember if I mentioned this already, but I've also been trying to learn Spanish. I'm just teaching myself with the help of the app and website called duolingo. I'm really enjoying it. But I wish I had someone to practice with me. There are these little spanish boys that live a couple houses down. Zoey loves to go visit them, their grandpa, and little dog when they are playing outside. It is fun to be able to start to understand some of the things that they say in Spanish. Maybe one day I will be able to communicate to the grandpa who doesn't speak a lick of English.

My little garden is pretty successful so far. I counted 14 tomatoes growing the other day. Everything else has been flowering too. I think a see a couple of bell peppers babies coming in and some green beans too!  I'm pretty excited about it coming along. I have pulled maybe five tiny little Weeds the entire time we've had this garden. Because it's right next to my house, it is so easy to take care of it and remember to water it. We've even had neighbors say stuff to us about how good it looks and how much better it seems to be doing than their gardens. If you look close, you can see alot of the tomatoes.

Adiós!
